SERITI GROWS ITS PORTFOLIO EVEN FURTHER

Black-owned and controlled coal mining company Seriti Resources has concluded an acquisition agreement with South32 to acquire South 32’s 91.835% shareholding in South Africa Energy Coal.

Located in the coalfields of Mpumalanga, SAEC includes four collieries – Khutala Colliery, Klipspruit Colliery, Middelburg Colliery and the Wolvekrans Colliery – as well as three processing plants, producing energy coal for the domestic and export market.

Included on the Seriti Resources side of the transaction are two trusts which will acquire equity on behalf of employees and communities. The remaining 8.165% interest in South Africa Energy Coal (SAEC) is held by a black economic empowerment consortium led by the Phembani Group.

The purchase price includes an up-front cash payment of approximately R100 million. In addition, South32 will receive 49% of the free cash flow generated by SAEC from the date the transaction is concluded until March 2024. That component will be limited to a maximum of R1.5 billion a year.

2. Barzani Development
3. Ruwacon

Today, MEC for Public Works Gillion Mashego was joined by the MEC for Health Sasekani Manzini, Mayor Sylvia Nxumalo, Executive Chairman and Founder Josua Mpho Mashiloane, the local municipality and the community at large in an official sod-turning ceremony at the site of the new Mapulaneng hospital earlier today where it was officially announced that the project would resume.

The R 2.4 Billion worth 'state of the art' hospital has now been identified as one of the regional hospitals in the province.

"We're here to hand over the project and also to introduce the main contractors. We started with phase 1 & 2 of fencing and palisades, so today we introduce to you three main contractors who will run the main construction," MEC Mashego said.

According to the MEC, the R 2.4 Billion will be divided amongst the three contractors to complete the work. The MEC further pleaded with the youth of Bushbuckridge to grab the opportunity by both hands and not allow protests to affect the progress of the project.

"In future, about five hospitals will be referred to the Mapulaneng hospital as it will be a regional hospital now, the people of Bushbuckridge should celebrate.

"The sub-contractors and unemployed people of Bushbuckridge should really benefit from this project, community members should refrain from protests that will stop the project because we're building 4 more hospitals around the province, we will move the budget elsewhere if the people choose to protest because that would mean they don't want this development."

The MEC concluded by giving special thanks to the community at large.

Executive Chairman and Founder Josua Mpho Mashiloane, and Founder of the Nkabo Group of companies Mr. Zwelibanzi Ndlovu says that the acquisition has given his organisation direct exposure to a well-established business that has the size and scale to play a key role in critical growth sectors of the South African economy. “It also supports our strategic goal to become a major black industrial player in South Africa.

At the beginning of 1994, Mr. Zwelibanzi Ndlovu took the decisive step of going back to college to study in order to make a meaningful contribution to the growth of the new South African dream. Upon completion in 1998, he and other unemployed graduates came together to form Rea Dira Projects. However, the other members left to seek formal employment leaving only the current director to grow the business.

Rea Dira Projects is a 100% black owned business operating in the various provinces of South Africa. Our strength lies in our ability to adapt quickly to the environments within which we are from time to time expected to perform in.

CITY OF EKURHULENI,  THEMBISA Ext. 25 SOD TURNING CEREMONY

Today, Executive Mayor Mzwandile Masina, the Municipality and Executive Chairman and Founder of the Mashiloane Trading (Pty) Ltd Josua Mpho Mashiloane, hosting the Thembisa Ext.25 #SodTurning ceremony. This is not only a sod turning event, it is an event that marks the turning point for the Winnie Mandela community to finally have a dignified place to call home.

This is one of our City’s mega projects & aims to resolve this systematic challenge. It aims to create well-designed, sustainable & integrated human settlements, which will enhance the value of property ownership for its residents & upgrade and integrate the urban environment.

The project will yield a total of 3 510 housing units. Of these units, 3 159 are RDP walk-ups and the remaining 351 are Social Housing units. The units are to be built as four storey walk-ups. But in building these housing units, we do not only seek to ensure that our people have houses to live in, we seek to also ensure that the space around them is fit for human habitat. For this reason, within the settlement, provision has also been made for public open spaces, community facilities which includes schools, a library and transportation networks. We recognise the importance of connecting people to their places of work and to industry, and so a strong and reliable transport network system is of utmost important to us in this project.

The first phase of the top structures consists of 500 units which are being built as four storey walk-ups and will be constructed using Alternative Building Technology (ABT). This technology will help to accelerate the delivery of the units.

Over 180 new jobs will be created on Phase 1 of the top structures on the Thembisa Ext.25 Project and, a minimum of 100 people will be trained & up-skilled during the construction process.

“The Main beneficiaries of the Thembisa Ext.25 project will be : Winnie Mandela Informal Settlement residents ,Winnie Mandela community with Court interdicts, Winnie Mandela Residents with 2 in 1 stands- 2 households sharing one stand”-
